If You're Looking for Fish You Can Brag About, Like Marlin & Sailfish...
Then search no more! Sailfish & marlin are our main “trophy fish,” and can literally weigh as much as a sumo wrestler. (You’ll have fun fighting these guys!) Our average sailfish weighs 90 pounds, while the marlin here range from 200 – 800 pounds! This is for you if you’re more interested in the sport than the eating, as all fish in this category are catch and release by law. Sound like you? You’ll want to book an off-shore fishing trip for a full day (7am – 4pm). Typical fishing grounds are 18-40 miles off of Quepos, which is why the full day is imperative. But the good news is, you can also fish for other species as well, including yellow fin tuna, wahoo, mahi mahi, grouper, snapper, amberjack & more.
We also arrange FAD Trips, which are overnight fishing trips to “Fish Aggregating Device” seamounts areas (80-120 miles offshore) where man made objects have been strategically placed to attract both predatory and bait fish- we can say marlin is 95-99% guarantee to be caught here.

Typical Fishing Grounds are 18-40 miles off Quepos. Target species are Sailfish, Blue, Black & Striped Marlin, Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack & more.
Target species are Roosterfish, Jack Crevalle, Mackerel, Snook, Snapper, and more
We encourage you to focus on one type of fishing per day so you have ample time to either run off shore or stay in shore without diluting your actual fishing time. Sometimes the fish are biting far offshore and we won’t have time to come back in, fish for live bait, and then start inshore fishing.
Your charter fishing boat will include lunch (full-day or 3/4 day), a variety of snacks, freshly-cut fruit, a cold case of beer, a selection of soft drinks, plenty of water, and all fishing equipment.
Not included: $17 per person for government-required fishing licenses, transportation to and from the marina, and boat crew gratuities.
In-shore fishing trips are usually just along the coast but we can go far down as to Dominical.
Off-shore fishing trips are anywhere from 13-40 miles, with the most common being the 35-40 mile range.
